Nationwide Puppy & Trained Dog Placement

Metro K9 Academy is based in Bernardsville, New Jersey, and we place German Shepherd and Doberman puppies and trained dogs with families across the country. Out-of-state buyers can purchase a puppy or trained dog from us, and we can help coordinate transportation.

How Nationwide Placement Works

  1. Talk with Robert. Call or text 201-230-2285 or use the form below. He’ll ask about your home, your experience and what you want your dog to do.
  2. Get matched. We recommend a litter, a puppy or a trained dog that fits your home and your goals.
  3. Reserve. Robert prepares your puppy contract, and a $750 deposit holds your puppy. See How to Reserve a Puppy.
  4. Plan the trip home. Pick up your dog at our facility, or we help coordinate transport to you.
  5. Stay in touch. We give you guidance on feeding, care and continued training after your dog is home.

Many families drive or fly in and pick up their dog at our facility at 570 Mine Brook Road, Bernardsville, NJ 07924. You meet the team and see where your dog was raised. See Our Facility.

Transport with Perry’s Expert Transport

We use Perry’s Expert Transport Services, owned by Monique Perry. We trust Monique and her team with our dogs, and we have been very happy with their care and service.

What Comes Home with Your Puppy

  • AKC registration paperwork
  • Age-appropriate vaccination and deworming records
  • A health certificate
  • Your purchase agreement, which outlines the applicable guarantees
  • Guidance on feeding, care and continued training

Trained dogs also come with owner handoff lessons at our facility.

Training for Out-of-State Families
