Metro K9 Academy trains dogs and the people who live with them, at our facility in Bernardsville, NJ. All breeds, all ages, one standard: calm in the house, capable when it matters.
Every program starts with a free evaluation. We meet your dog, hear your goals and recommend the program that fits. Then we teach your dog, and we coach you so the results hold up at home.

Our Training Programs
Stay & Learn (Board & Train)
Three weeks of daily professional training while your dog stays with us, with exercise, appropriate socialization and progress updates. You get three private lessons: one at pickup and two follow-ups. $4,500.
Semi-Private Training
Our core program, for obedience and protection. Your dog gets individual attention, you get hands-on coaching, and your dog practices around other dogs and real distractions. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. From $1,080 for 12 classes.
Private Training
One-on-one instruction for obedience, manners, behavior concerns, puppy development and protection training, built around your dog and your goals. Contact us for pricing and scheduling.
Daily Drop-Off Training
Day training, Monday through Friday. Drop off between 8 and 10 AM, pick up between 4 and 6 PM. Structured socialization, obedience training, exercise and enrichment, supervised by our trainers. $895 per week.
Family & Estate Protection
Obedience-first protection training for families, estates and executives. Control comes first. Capability is built on top of it. By evaluation.
Dog Sports: IGP, PSA & AKC
Schutzhund/IGP, PSA and AKC sport training for dogs and handlers who want to compete, plus police K9 development.
Scent Work & Tracking
Nose work, tracking and detection training that gives a working dog a real job.
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy & Canine Good Citizen
Foundation manners for puppies and adult dogs, with preparation for AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy and Canine Good Citizen testing.

Our training facility is in Bernardsville. We work with dog owners across Somerset County, Morris County, the Somerset Hills, Morristown and Mendham, Union County and Bergen County. Puppies and trained dogs are placed across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and nationwide.
